The Cissus 'Ellen Danica' is a surprisingly good performer as an indoor plant. Fast growing and bearing many shiny dark green, handsomely-toothed, oak-shaped leaves along the softly hairy stems it can be encouraged to grow upwards or cascade down. The vine attaches via tendrils. The foliage is pale bronze-green when young and matures to a deeper green bearing red hairs on their underside. In summer this lovely vine bears non-showy, haired green flowers followed by black fruit, from where the term 'grape ivy' was adapted.
